Mr. Darryl Keith Threat, SR was born January 21, 1953 in Kansas City Missouri, to Irene Logan and Claude Oliver Baston. He was preceded in death by both parents, brothers Lewis T. Logan and Steve Baston, and sister Adrienne Martin. Darryl accepted Christ at an early age while attending Bowers Memorial CME Church, before converting to Islamic faith. Darryl was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District attending Lincoln High School amongst others. After graduation, Darryl established himself as a successful entrepreneur and was self-employed in various business endeavors.
Darryl lived life to the fullest, as there was never a dull day in his world. He lived a “fly by the seat of your pants” lifestyle and was always on the go. Darryl had a great sense of humor and could find a good laugh in almost any situation. He had an affection for the Casino and could often be spotted in his “spot”.
He was a beloved family man who loved his family very much, and such fathered one son of his own. Darryl was a very giving person and gave tirelessly to help support his family financially and otherwise. Darryl was the patriarch of his family, and it is a role in which he took great pride in and fulfilled every necessary duty. His giving has no boundaries as he would do anything for his son, granddaughters, nieces and nephews, and sisters and brothers, who all loved him and the ground he walked on dearly.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, Darryl Threat JR, A Beloved Daughter in law (Vanessa) of Kansas City; two granddaughters Daniya and Dalila Threat; one sister, Ida Logan (B.B.); two brothers, Claude Jr. and Jackie Baston; two step childrenwho he loved as his own, Thomas Martin and Carmen Martin; and many special friends that were more like brothers/family that he loved and cared for very much.
