Larry Lee Timme, 70, of Holden, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Larry was born November 17, 1947, in Independence, MO, son of Robert and LaVon Timme. He was a graduate of Truman High School. Larry served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Larry was a retired businessman, owner and operator of a plastics company in Independence prior to retirement. He and his wife also built and owned a laundromat in Holden for 10 years. Larry loved to play the organ and shared that love with others. He always had a smile and loved to joke around with people.
Surviving his passing are his wife, Janet; son, Robert F. Timme and wife, Kari; grandson, Nathan; mother, LaVon Timme; sister, Cheryl Little and husband, David; and nephew, Jeff Austin. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Robert; and his grandparents.
Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Holden Senior Center or the Holden VFW Post 5844.
