Jackie Tompkins

Jackie (Garrett) Tompkins, 61, of Liberty, MO, passed away suddenly of complications from MS on July 22, 2021. She was diagnosed with MS in 1989, and for 32 years never let it define her. Jackie would always say, "I may have MS but MS doesn't have me!".

Jackie was born December 14, 1959, in Purdy, MO. She grew up in Independence and graduated from Truman High School. She was united in marriage to Keith D. Tompkins on April 20, 1979. Jackie worked for Southwestern Bell, later AT&T until 1993.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father, George Earl Garrett; and brother, Kenny Garrett. She leaves her husband and companion of 42 years, Keith; and a nephew, Jeremy Garrett. She also leaves her beloved cat Thunder, one of seven she's cherished since Keith and Jackie were married. Jackie was greatly loved and will be missed.
