Suzanne Carol Toppins

Suzanne Carol Toppins, 72, of Liberty, MO, passed away February 19, 2020, with loved ones at her side. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Suzanne's life at 11:00 am, on Monday, February 24, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to Kansas City Hospice.

Suzanne was born May 10, 1947, in Ironton, MO, the daughter of James and Eva (Scaggs) Toppins. She graduated from McCluer High School in Florissant, MO, and received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Education from the University of Missouri at Columbia. Her career as an Elementary and Middle School teacher spanned 27 years, mostly in the Columbia School District. She moved to Liberty in 2014, and was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Anita Everly (David) and Adrianne Houdek (Greg); and grandchildren, Grant Everly, Zach Everly, Nate Everly, Benjamin Houdek, Evie Houdek and Samuel Houdek. She also leaves a sister, Joyce Blaylock (Gary), other family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, followed by a service celebrating Suzanne’s life at 11:00 am, on Monday, February 24, at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 1600 North State Route 291, Liberty, MO.
