Carolyn Kay Towler, 76, formerly of Pleasant Hill, passed away July 6, 2022 at The Villages of Jackson Creek in Independence where she lived the past two months.
Carolyn was born May 24, 1946, in Leavenworth, KS, the sixth of seven children of Clarence and Louise (Howard) Jones. Her parents preceded her in death. Carolyn worked 19 years at Hope's Fish and Chips in Livonia, MI, before moving to the Kansas City area in 1984. Here, she worked for Peterson Manufacturing and Marion Laboratories. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Carolyn leaves her sons, Duane Towler and Scott Towler (Lisa); grandson, Nick Towler (Breanna); siblings Clara Oakes, Marilyn Morse, Don Jones, Melvin Jones, Alvie Jones and Ed Jones; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
A celebration of Carolyn's life will be held from 1-4 pm on Sunday, July 24, at Ararat Shrine Temple, 5100 Ararat Drive, Kansas City, MO 64129.
