Many years of friendship In our early years. Our families were united as one. Steve will be sadly missed, his smile and laughter. Love and blessings to the family.

The Ladys and Nobles of Houn Dawg Shrine Club will greatly miss the fellowship that Steve provided. During our Club dinner meetings, we always enjoyed and laughed a lot while Steve and Beverly were “bantering” back and forth, in jest. It was obvious that they truly loved each other, forever. Noble Steve Untrif was one of the tallest standing Shriner’s that we know!

Houn Dawg Shrine Club (secretary Noble David Key)

We met Steve as a Shriner, and quickly realized that he was an aviator. Steve provided multiple training flights and checkrides. I always accused Steve of being too easy on a checkride. I was already scheduled for a flight the day that we found Steve had passed. While flying around Warrensburg I suddenly had a warm and safe feeling – it must have been Steve wrapping his new wings around me for aviation safety. Thank you Steve!

Lady Jackie and Noble David Key

We are so saddened to know you have lost Steve here on earth. Our prayers are with the family as you make your way forward without him. It was great to be able to view the lovely service and share in the memories. It brought back good family memories for us too. From losing Dad, we know how hard all the firsts will be. Beverly, you know Mom is there anytime you want to talk. Love to you all.

Dad, I've got this. After all, I'm little "S". I miss you so much. My heart is broken. For you I am happy...you are walking and talking to EVERYONE. Who am I going to call when I look in the yellow pages? Dad you were, and still are, my everything. You are the first man I loved. I loved you then, love you still...always have...always will. Fly high dad.

Sheryl Reigel

I am so sad to hear the passing of Steve, my deepest sympathies and prayers go to Beverly and the Family. I met Steve late in his life and we had so much in common about Law Enforcement and Radio/TV to talk about. He was a good friend to my Dad until his passing. I am sure that you are with my dad now and talking it up like before. We will miss you!.

Annette Walston

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and family. Our sincere condolences for your loss.

I am saddened to hear of the passing of Steve. I have so many fond memories of the time spent at the Lake of the Ozarks with Steve, Bev, Ginger, Denise and Sheryl. So many laughs with all of you. Steve was special. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dave Meyer

I send my sincere sympathy to Beverly and the whole family. He was a wonderful and caring man and good friend to my husband and me. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and may God give comfort during this time.

Judy Janz

I had the pleasure to know Steve throughout the many years we worked together at KCPD. This wonderful man was an exceptional officer and representative of the department. He and I were also fellow Shriners and Masons, a fraternity in which Steve gave so liberally of his time and talents to help "our kids!" To Steve's entire family, I send my heartfelt condolences, with the hope that you all find comfort in the cherished memories you have of your time spent with him. Walk well, my Brother. (Inuit Prayer)

It is with great sadness that I learned about the passing of Mr Steve 😢 This man had made an impact On my heart and soul for the year and a half I took care of him. No matter the day I had he would always have a way to cheer me up, make me laugh and always had me smiling! You will always hold a place in my heart ❤️ I think your fathers greatest legacy will be in the wonderful children Beverly and Steve have raised. They were so very proud of all of you 😊 The one thing I will probably miss the most is me coming into your room and you calling me Anastasia lol aka ALISSA I hope that you will find the inner strength to get you through this sad and difficult time.
