Rebecca J. Vaughn

Rebecca (Becky) J. Vaughn went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 20, 2020. Visitation will be 12:30-2PM, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2PM, Saturday, July 17, 2021 at Calvary Assembly of God, 9320 Elm, Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu, of flowers the family requests donations to the Women’s Ministries (WMs) at Calvary Assembly of God, 9320 Elm, Kansas City, Missouri 64138.

Becky was born in Braggadocio, Missouri on April 6 th , 1940 to John Francis and Nettie Mae Wallen. On March 16, 1957 she married the love of her life, Eugene Vaughn, who preceded her in death. She worked at A T & T in Lee’s Summit, Missouri for 18 years, before becoming a unit secretary serving patients at Menorah Medical Center and Research Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Assembly of God for the past 44 years where she served as a leader in Women’s Ministry and served as a mentor to many young ladies. She will always be remembered for her love for others, her passion for cooking and baking and feeding everyone.

Her brothers, Albert, Walter, Thomas, and Billy Wallen and sisters, Mary Ellen and Sarah Louise Wallen and Dorothy Manship preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, Pam Rowland and her husband Gary of Kansas City, Missouri, Larry Vaughn and wife, Tina, of Columbia, Missouri. Terry Vaughn and wife, Barbara. of Oswego, Illinois; and grandchildren who knew her as Meme, Matt Rowland and wife, Beth, and Jarod Rowland and wife, Elizabeth, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Riley Vaughn and Tyler Vaughn of Los Angeles, California and Sadie Vaughn of Normal, Illinois. Mark Vaughn and wife, Marette, Andrew Vaughn and wife, Jennifer, Sarah Perkins and husband, Jordan, and Jesse Vaughn, Susanna Vaughn and Victoria Vaughn of Columbia, Missouri and great grandchildren, Elijah, Mylie, Jessa, Josiah, Jaxon, and Joy of Lee’s Summit and Tobias, Jediah, and Henry of Columbia, Missouri. Surviving brother is Chip Wallen and wife, JoAnn of Wichita, Kansas. A host of nieces, nephews and friends will greatly miss her.
