Diana Sue Villerup, 70, passed away March 3, 2022. Diana was born October 20, 1951 in Jackson County, Missouri to Lloyd N. Villerup and Leta Mae (Hemry) Villerup. While growing up near Grain Valley, Missouri, Diana’s favorite pastime was riding horses with her best friend Diana Turner - Stevenson. She rode horses her whole life. Diana was homecoming Queen at Grain Valley High School in 1968. During her 20s, Diana lived in Italy and traveling was always an important part of her life. She worked at several specialty schools and was a Special Education Teacher at William Chrisman High School from 1989-2004. She enjoyed books (especially JFK and government conspiracy stories), classic rock music, was a Special Olympics coach, was involved in 4H and was a Girl Scout Troop Leader in the 1990’s. Diana was a devoted animal rescuer and loved her cats and her dog Sadie.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her daughter Merin Pardoe and her granddaughter Holland.

A gathering of family and friends will be 1-4PM, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, 2537 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri 64129.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Independence Animal Shelter or to Special Olympics.

Service Information

A gathering of family and friends will be 1-4PM, Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, 2537 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri 64129.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Independence Animal Shelter or to Special Olympics.
