Vincent Louis Scudiero, II, 67, of Brooksville, Florida, and recently a resident of Marceline and Bucklin, MO, passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2021. He died peacefully at Bayfront Health Hospital with Kathy, his wife of 42 years at his side.
Vincent was born September 19, 1953, in Kansas City, MO, the eldest of two sons of Louis Vincent and Josephine Lucia (Ferraro) Scudiero. His parents preceded him in death.
Vincent grew up in Leawood, KS, moving with his family to Bucklin, MO in 1970 where he graduated from high school. Vince later received his degree from Indiana College of Mortuary Science and became a licensed Missouri embalmer and funeral director. He spent his entire career working alongside his father Louis and brother Mike in the family business, Scudiero and Sons Funeral Homes in Bucklin, Unionville and Marceline, MO.
While working in Unionville, Vince met the love of his life Kathy Louise Shonts. They were united in marriage on December 8, 1978 and would later move to Marceline where they lived many years. In Marceline, Vince was co-owner of MTS Audio/Video. He was a lifelong Catholic.
Nearing retirement, Vince, Kathy and their beloved schnauzer Bridget, took to the road in their RV, traveling the country. They especially loved Florida, where they eventually made their final home. Vince was ever the perfectionist in his profession or at play. He had a passion for collecting and tinkering with cars old and new. There was always a project with one (or more!) of his vehicles in the works...never finished until it was just right. Vince was a member of the Cadillac Club of Kansas City.
Along with his wife Kathy; Vince leaves his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Lisa Scudiero; aunt, Congetta "Connie" Harris; as well as cousins, all of Kathy's family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 pm to 8 pm on Saturday, August 28, at the Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday August 29, at the Masonic Cemetery in Bucklin, MO.
Because Vince delivered carloads of flowers to churches and cemeteries over the years, he would prefer no flowers be sent to his funeral. The family suggests memorial donations in his name to Bucklin Christian Church, 20 Oak Street, Bucklin, MO 64631.
