Virginia Lee Moore

Virginia Lee (Dodson) Moore (Ginny) was born on March 20, 1931 in Parson’s Kansas, daughter of Jesse and Alice Dodson. She passed from this life on August 1, 2024 with her family around her. Ginny married Earl C. Williams, Jr. on February 24, 1950 in Parsons, Kansas. They had five sons: Steve, Andy, Gary, Marty and Tim. Earl passed in March of 1982. Ginny married Frederick R. Sanderholm (Sandy) on February 7, 1984. Sandy passed in October of 1987. Ginny married her third husband, James A Moore (Jim) on September 21, 1993. Jim passed in October of 2023.

Survivors include her sons: Andy (Pam); Gary (Marva), Marty, and Tim (Mary). And her grandchildren: Jill (Darin); Julie (Joel); Melinda (Theresa); Christina, Randi, Kaleb, Aaron, Alisha, and Aubrey. Also her great-grandchildren: Owen, Avery, Nash, Tristan, Lucas, Brianna, Ashley, Sawyer, Teagon, Spencer, Dakota. Other survivors include her sister Sharon (Lester “Les”) Beeks. 

Ginny was preceded in death by her three husbands, her son Steve, and step-son, Robin Moore. siblings; Robert, Dale (Lola), Marian (Bill) Fitzgerald, and granddaughter Jennifer, and great grandson Cody. 

Ginny loved spending time with family: camping and enjoying time at the lake. Ginny was an active member of the DEARS, a Lady Elk Auxiliary, in Grandview, Missouri for over 30 years, planning and participating in many activities through the years. The many dear friends from the Elks Lodge are too many to be listed, but Ginny cherished the friendship and community of so many at the Elks Lodge and D.E.A.R.S..

Ginny spent the majority of her adult life living in Grandview, Missouri. Her home was always a welcoming spot for friends and relatives alike. No one was a stranger to Ginny. 

She will be sorely missed by her family and friends. Ginny was incredible and all who knew her were touched. Her memory will continue for generations.
