Douglas Dean Wagner, 65, of Cape Fair, MO, passed away May 3, 2019. Graveside services will be 2PM, Thursday, May 9th at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Doug was born November 3, 1953 in Kansas City, KS to Frank and Joyce Wagner, one of three children.   He was raised in Raytown, MO, graduating from Raytown South High School in 1971. Doug was employed for a few short years by Commerce Bank before moving to the airline industry working for TWA and Northwest Airlines in Data Network Operations, where he worked a vast majority of his life. While employed he returned to college, earning his Bachelors in Business Administration from UMKC and Masters in Business Administration from Rockhurst University. He later found a passion in life and returned to school earning an Associates in Arts & Communication from Metropolitan Community College pursuing a career as a Sign Language Interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing. Doug was employed in this capacity by Belton School District before moving to the Table Rock Lake area.

Doug was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Truman and Marie Shipp; his father, Frank Wagner; step-father and mother, Sam and Joyce Dosier.

He is survived by his life partner, Sean Young; brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Sheila Wagner; nieces, Dena Marie Wagner Saunders (Landon) and Lauren Nicole Wagner, great niece, Finnley Marie Saunders.

Graveside services will be 2PM, Thursday, May 9 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO 64138.
