Ward R. Shane, 60, passed away November 17, 2023.
Ward Shane was born in Springfield, Missouri and was unexpectedly called home. He was preceded in death by his Father Maurice Richard Shane, Jr., Mother Edna Elaine Aulgur Shane and Brother Drew Shane. Leaving behind his first love and wife Lori Shane, sons Kyle Shane and Jeremy Shane, daughter-in-law Lisa, granddaughter Avalee Shane and two step grandsons Bryson and Jayden.
Ward and Lori met at a young age and finally married in 1993 in California. Shortly after the birth of Kyle the family relocated back to Kansas City.
Ward was blessed with a large and loving family and was one of eight children. He will be forever missed by Brother; Paige and (Nona) Shane. Sisters; Sally and (Gary) Blank, Julia Haseltine, Carrie and (Tim) Fraker, Leslie Weese and Polly Fink. He had many nieces, nephews and family members that share in this loss.
He had many passions in life; camping, fishing, hunting, hanging out with friends and family, watching Nascar and the Chiefs. Ward was a “Master Craftsman”, one of the best. His work is displayed all over the Kansas City area. This was truly a special gift and talent, this was his “true passion”.
