S/Sgt (US Army Ret) Dwayne Edward Weil, 56, of Liberty, passed away September 23, 2018, at Liberty Hospital following a brief illness. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Dwayne's life at 3:00 pm, on Saturday, September 29, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Burial with military honors will follow in Glenridge Cemetery.
Dwayne was born November 4, 1961, in Pomona, California. He served in the U.S. Army from 1980 until receiving honorable discharge as a Staff Sergeant E-6 on May 31, 1998. Following military retirement, Dwayne worked for the Social Security Administration for the past 18 years. He was a proud owner of a synergy green 2011 Camaro and a member of the KC Camaro Club. He and his wife Karen enjoyed traveling throughout the US showing their vehicle at Camaro Fests and other events.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Karen (Olson) Weil; son, Tony; two half sisters, Valerie and Lisa; half brother, Kenny; as well as other family members and friends.
