Robert C. Wendel

It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Christopher Wendel announces his passingon Saturday, September 22, 2018, at the age of 54 years.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Roger and Joel Wendel, his brother Roger Wendel, Jr., his sister, Melissa Wendel, and his nephews Garret, Tanner and Chase Wendel. Bob will also be fondly remembered by his manyclose friends and his Kansas City Fire Department family.

Bob loved fishing, hunting, and visiting with friends along Cole Camp Creek at the Lake of the Ozarks where he was known as “Fireman Bob”. He also enjoyed traveling abroad, dining out with friends, and making his famous “midnight chicken”.

Bob was known for his enormous heart, and his willingness to help family and friends without hesitation.  Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Bob to the Kansas City Fire Department Community Assistance Program located at the KCFD Union Hall Local #42, 6320 Manchester Ave, Kansas City, MO 64133.

Visitation will be held at Park Lawn Funeral Home in Kansas City on Thursday, September 27th, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m.
