Claudette June (Smithhisler) Wigle, 77, of Raymore, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2020, at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS, with family at her side.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Claudette’s life at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, March 15, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1111 West Foxwood Drive, Raymore. Private interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Kansas City Hospice.

Claudette was born March 21, 1942, in McPherson, KS, the older of two children of Claude and Inez (Milton) Smithhisler. She grew up in Osawatomie, KS, where she graduated from high school.

Claudette retired as an accountant for Sears. However her favorite job was for nine years at Ryan’s in Belton, where she made countless friends and loved to go to work each day.

Along with her parents, Claudette was preceded in death by her husband, Don Wigle, in 2010. Survivors include her children, Tanya Fisher (Jim), Kristie Shaw (Sandy Claus) and Donna Rebar (Andy); grandchildren, Matt Fisher (Megan), Tara Barber (Brandon), Duncan Shaw (Michelle), Heather Shaw (Sandra Rojas), Andy Rebar (Amber) and Justin Rebar; great grandchildren, Adalene, Charley, Drew, Deven, Jackson, AJ V, Emersyn, Ben, Maddie and Duncan Jr. She also leaves her brother, Don Smithhisler (Karen Davis); a niece, three nephews, and their families. Claudette was loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Service Information:

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Claudette’s life at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, March 15, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 1111 West Foxwood Drive, Raymore. Private interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, KS.
