Richard R. Wilbur

Richard R. Wilbur, 88, of the Kansas City Northland, passed away November 28, 2021, in Liberty, MO.

Dick was born April 24, 1933, in St. Paul, MN, the son of Raymond and Mildred (Binkley) Wilbur. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1951 until receiving honorable discharge as a Sergeant in 1954. He was united in marriage to Gail LaMoine Peterson on September 6, 1955, and she preceded Dick in death in 2016. Dick worked in management in the Grain Elevator Construction and Maintenance industry before he retired. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Ray and wife Laura, Mona, Russ and Malana; grandchildren, Ray Jr., Sabrina and Valerie; and sister, Sharon. Along with his parents and wife, Dick was preceded in death by granddaughters, Nicole and Melanie; and sister, Darlene.

Dick requested no service. He bequeathed his remains to the University of Kansas.
