Rudy Joseph Wilkie, 78, of the Kansas City Northland, passed peacefully at home on October 19, 2022, with his wife of 51 years at his side.

Rudy was born April 29, 1944, in Perry, Iowa, the youngest of four children of George and Maxine (Binns) Wilkie. He graduated from Menlo High School in Menlo, Iowa. He later joined the US Air Force in 1962, serving in England. Rudy was united in marriage to Dianne Williams on January 15, 1971, at her home near Humboldt, Tennessee, and they are blessed with two children, Susan and David. Rudy's career as an Aircraft Mechanic spanned 29 years with Trans World Airlines in Kansas City until he retired in 1999.

Along with his parents, Rudy is preceded in death by his siblings, Nancy Ried, Donna Haag and Ronald Wilkie. Survivors include his wife, Dianne Wilkie; children, Susan McIntyre (Chris) and David Wilkie; granddaughters, Ciara and Abbey McIntyre; as well as nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Rudy's life at 3:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 25, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial will be at a later date in Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service celebrating Rudy’s life at 3:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 25, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty, MO. Burial will be at a later date in Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
