Iola Williams

Iola Williams, 94, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.

Iola was born March 29, 1928 to Elnora and Louis Gentry. She was the third child of 11 children. She is survived by one sister Glodean Hunt of Pontiac, MI.

Iola married Thurman Simmons (deceased) in Greggston, TX in 1947. They had six children from this union, Jeanette Fue, Carolyn Wallace (deceased), Thurman Simmons, Cheryl Simmons, Judy Hardman, and Regina Chambers.

She was briefly married to Henry Williams (deceased).

She leaves behind 4 generations; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a faithful member of Sheffield Family Center in her last season of life. She was a mother and mentor to many. She will be missed.

Visitation will be 1PM, with services to follow at 2PM, Saturday, September 3 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Road, Kansas City, Missouri; burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.
