Celebration of life for
James E Williams Sr.

James Edward Williams Sr. affectionately known as Jimmy, was born to the late Robert Sr. and Elizabeth Williams on May 10,1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Jimmy was the third child of their nine children. Jimmy graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1971, where he then began to work for the railroad system. Years later he relocated to Kansas City, Kansas and made it his home.

While living in Kansas City, Jimmy began working for the State of Kansas. He diligently worked his way up becoming a supervisor. Jimmy was a faithful member of Paradise Baptist Church where he served as an usher. During his free time, Jimmy loved to fish and share his knowledge of life and it’s many lessons. However his favorite pastime was reminiscing and telling stories of his days growing up in McAlmont.

Jimmy gained his wings on May 22, 2020 with his ever faithful son Petey by his side. He is preceded in death by his father Robert Sr., mother Elizabeth, brother Kenneth, sister Debbie and his grandson JaiShaun.

Jimmy leaves to cherish his memory his daughter LaShondra (Marcus Sr.) of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, son James Jr. (Tisha) of Kansas City, Missouri and three grandsons Marquez, Marcus ll, and James lll. He also leaves his companion of 18 years Janet, one brother Robert Jr. (Felicia), five sisters Faye (Charles), Barbara Jane (Joseph), Carolyn, Janice, Pamela, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A graveside service will be 1PM, Saturday, May 30 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 8251 Hillcrest Rd. A visitation for family will precede the services at Park Lawn Funeral Home.
