Wilma Williams, 95, passed away at her home in Lone Jack, Missouri on April 29, 2020. A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, June 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church. Masks will be required at the service.
Wilma was born on December 21, 1924, in Wheeling, Missouri to Clarence and Mabel Warren. She married Harvey Nobert Williams on September 14, 1946.
Wilma is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Nobert. Wilma is survived by her son, Alan Williams; daughter, Susan Williams Umstead and husband Tom; brother, Dale Warren and his wife Rema; granddaughter, Tara Leath and husband Jimmy; grandson, Adam Umstead and wife Christine; great grandchildren, Jaime, Jayde and Jemma; and 7 nieces and nephews.
Wilma retired from the Internal Revenue Service and was a faithful member of the Lake Lotawana Community United Methodist Church and served as their treasurer for many years. Wilma donated her time and talents to sewing turbans for cancer patients and crocheting blankets and hats for newborns for local hospitals. Wilma was one of the kindest and most helpful people you could ever know. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
