Larry Warren Wilson, 68, passed away February 2, 2020 at Riverbend Heights in Lexington, MO, following a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm, followed by a service and military honors at 3:00 pm, on Sunday, February 9, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. Committal services will be at noon Monday, February 10, at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Memorials are suggested to the Parkinson's Foundation.
Larry was born June 30, 1951, in Versailles, MO. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam war, receiving honorable discharge as an E-5 on September 10, 1971. He worked 20 years as an aircraft mechanic for TWA and later American Airlines. Following retirement, he was an over-the-road truck driver for six years and was a member of the Teamsters' Union.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Mieyr; father, Edward Wilson; step-mother, Wilda Wilson; and brother, James Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; children, Eric Wilson, Mark Wilson, Scott Wilson and Craig Wilson (Leesa); step-daughter, Katie Bailey (Daniel); 15 grandchildren; siblings, Michael Wilson (Chris), Stephen Wilson (Brenda), Kathleen Lange (Robert), Kitty Wilson, Kelly Vaught, Edward Wilson (Sue) and Roy Jack Hart; sister-in-law, Robin Wilson; as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
