William Everett Wilson

July 15, 1930 — July 3, 2018

William Everett Wilson of Harrisonville, Missouri passed into the presence of His God and Savior Jesus Christ on July 3rd, 2018 at Kansas City Hospice House having reached the age of eighty-seven years, eleven months, and eighteen days. He was born on July 15th, 1930 in Kansas City, Missouri, a son to the late William Jackson Wilson and the late Geraldine (Gore) Wilson. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving with the 1st Marine Division and a part of the Chosin Reservoir Campaign during the Korean War. He worked in the auto-electric industry with his father at Wilson Auto-Electric for 15 years before working as a plant manager with Battenfeld Grease and Oil for 21 years. He was a lifetime Mason, and an avid sportsman enjoying hunting, fishing, golfing, and anything in between. He loved his home at the Lake of the Ozarks where he welcomed visits from his children and grandchildren, presided as the president of the volunteer firefighters of Lakeview Heights, and served as the congregational head at Yeager Union Church.

Everett is survived by his wife of 69 years Irene (Nicoll) Wilson; his son Robert Wilson and wife Kathie, his daughters Pattie Hurley and husband Mike, Susan Wilson and fiancé Jeff Nault; his uncle Charles Gore and wife Vera; his grandchildren Robert Frank, Tracy Amos, Roberta Salzman, Christina Murkin, Josh Wilson, Anthony Cross, Heather Allen, Jeremy Dull, Angela Brunner, and Kristen Davis; his thirty-five great-grandchildren; and his two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Everett is preceded in death by one grandson Jeffrey Frank and one great-grandson Barry Frank.

Funeral service for Everett will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 6th, 2018 at the Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd, Kansas City, MO with Rev. Josh Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held before the service at 9:00 AM at Park Lawn.

Interment with full military honors will take place at Floral Hills, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri.

Honoring Everett by serving as his Pallbearers are Von Amos, Anthony Cross, Jeremy Dull, Robert Frank, John Murkin, and Eric Salzman.
