Christie Lou Wolf

Christie Lou Wolf, 64, of Kansas City, Mo, passed away August 4, 2021. Memorial Services will be held at 10AM Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at Sterling Acres Baptist Church, 11200 E 47th St, Kansas City, MO 64133. Cremation with private inunrment to follow. Donations in Christie's memory may be given to Wayside Waifs, of Kansas City, Mo.
Christie was born February 12 (Abraham Lincoln's birthday), 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri and lived there all of her life.  She graduated from Raytown High School in 1975.  She retired from Kansas City Power and Light after 28 years of service.  While there she became the first female to hold the position of control operator. She was qualified as a control operator for almost 20 years of her 28 years at KCPL.  She the earned the title of "Momma Wolf" from a couple of her co-workers that looked to her as their work mom and she looked to them as her sons.  She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Rachel and James E. Wolf of Kansas City, Mo. and quite a few precious pets.  She is survived by her sister and her husband Marie and Cedric Fairweather, one niece Erin Fairweather, and 2 great-nieces Addison and Olivia all of Cheyenne, Wy.
