Patricia Mary (Gassman) Wolf, 63, a lifelong Plattsburg resident, passed away August 12, 2019, at her home with her husband Jeff at her side. She fought a valiant battle with cancer for six and a half years.

A celebration of Tricia’s life will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 17, at Tinnen Town Hall, 117 West Maple Street, Plattsburg, MO. Tricia was born January 1, 1956, in St. Joseph, MO, the fifth of eight children of Frank and Jean (McCampbell) Gassman. Her parents preceded her in death. She graduated in 1974 from Plattsburg High School and received degrees in Criminal Justice, Remedial Reading and Elementary Education from Missouri Western in St. Joseph.

Tricia and her mom owned d’Agee Florist in Plattsburg from 1974 to 1984, and Bloomers in Lathrop from 1985 to 1994. She was General Manager at Plattsburg Country Club for 15 years.

Tricia was a lifetime member of St. Ann Catholic Church and a member its Altar Society and St. Ann’s Art and Environmental Committee. She worked at Plattsburg High School as a substitute teacher and paraprofessional in the Special Education Department. She also organized golf tournaments for Camp Quality and Breast Cancer, and donated hair to Wigs for Kids and Locks of Love. She loved working in her yard and in her garden, and especially loved her dogs, Spank and Spook.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Jeff; siblings, Kathy Jenkins, Mike Gassman, Gregg Gassman (Pat), Peggy Bradley, Tim Gassman (Parke Wellman), John Gassman (Vicki) and Patrick Gassman (Cynthia); as well as many nieces, nephews, other family members and countless friends.

Tricia was blessed with the heart of a servant and in her element when she was helping or caring for a family member or friend in need. She will be greatly missed!

Jeff, Sorry for your loss buddy ! Tricia has always been a pleasant person to visit with if she had a bad side you would be the one to know ? I've known her all my life she was always the same person every time you see her. I admire the way she took care of her mother back in the day bringing her to Joe's gym where Joe and I enjoyed visiting with her and her mom ? May God bless you and your family and may she RIP.

Jeff, my stars, I was looking for the obit of a neighbor an high school classmate and ran across Pat's. Many days have passed since the days of "grocery toting". I always have fond memories of the folks from Plattsburg. May the lord guide and protect you and yours in these times.

Jack Hembree

Heartfelt condolences to Jeff and all the Gassmans. I now feel so fortunate to have had a recent conversation with Tricia. If only the whole world could have a heart such as hers - what a world we'd have.

Danny Wolfe

I grew up on South Birch Avenue in Plattsburg with the Gassman siblings. For this reason, Trish knew the value of growing up in a small town neighborhood. She did so much for so many people, that it's impossible to count the blessings she bestowed. She will always be remembered for her many kind acts. Prayers to her family. RIP dear lady.
