William Thomas Yuratovich

GLADSTONE, MO – William T. Yuratovich died of natural causes May 26, 2020 at Northcare Hospice. He was born March 5, 1925 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of John and Julia (Stamfel) Yuratovich.

William (Bill) graduated from Bishop Ward High School, Class of 1943. Following graduation, he served with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during World War II. After the war, he married the love of his life, Doris Irene Crow and they settled in Kansas City, Kansas. Bill worked most of his career (38 years) at Middlewest Motor Freight Bureau. After retirement, Bill and Doris moved to Henderson, Nevada for 12 years before settling back in the Midwest, Gladstone, MO. They celebrated 71 years of marriage in July.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Ann Nastav, Mary Mortensen, and brothers, John, Albert, and Ernest. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Doris Yuratovich are his daughter, Kathleen Sue Butler of Gladstone; son, Jeffrey Alan Yuratovich (Janet), of Gallatin, MO; grandchildren, Angela, Kelli, April, JT, Ty, and Jake; 8 great and 5 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Per Bill's wishes, no formal services will be held. A mass of remembrance will be given at St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church at a future date. Internment will be announced at a later date. Those who wish to remember Bill in a special way may make gifts in his memory to the Northcare Hospice House of North Kansas City and/or St Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church of Gladstone, MO.
